Eliezer Smoli
Eliezer Smoli (Hebrew: אליעזר שמאלי) (born 1901; died 1985) was an Israeli writer, famous for his children's books.
Biography
Smoli was born in 1901 in the Volhynia region of western Ukraine (then in the Russian Empire). He began writing at the age of ten,[1] and in 1920, he emigrated to then British-ruled Palestine.
From 1936 to 1936, Smoli studied natural sciences at Berlin University.[1]
Awards
- In 1957, Smoli was awarded the Israel Prize, for Children's literature.[2]
