Elkhan Mammadov (born 18 June 1979) is a Azerbaijani manager and is currently General Secretary of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan.[1]
Biography
Early years and education
Mammadov was born in 1979, in Baku. In 1999, he graduated from American InterContinental University with honours degree in business management.[2]
Career
Mammadov replaced Chingiz Ismayilov as general secretary of Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan in 2007.[3] In 2012, he has been appointed as the communications director for Baku bid for the 2020 Summer Olympics.[4]
Criticism
Mammadov was widely criticised for his policy to bring coaches from Germany and his naturalisation policy in Azerbaijan national football team.[5][6][7]
