Elsa Cárdenas (born 3 August 1935) is a Mexican actress. Since 1954 she has appeared in more than 100 films and television shows. She starred in the film Happiness, which was entered into the 7th Berlin International Film Festival.[1] She acted alongside many stars, including Elvis Presley in Fun in Acapulco and James Dean in Giant.[2]
Personal life
She claims to have had a love affair with Elvis Presley during the filming of Fun in Acapulco.[2] Elsa dated actor and director Budd Boetticher from 1962 to 1964. Some claim that they were married briefly,[3] while others claim they were engaged at one point, but Elsa broke it off.[4] She later married Guy Patton.[5]
