Elsinore High School was founded in 1891 and is one of the oldest schools in Riverside County, California. Located in the town of Lake Elsinore, CA, EHS can be seen from the Interstate 15 freeway.
Dr. Jon Hurst has been principal of the school for 10 years. The school's mascot is the Tiger.
The school is a California Distinguished School, an AVID National Demonstration School and a Riverside County High School Model of Excellence for their Special Education and Peer Counseling programs [2]
The facilities themselves were designed by the Danish architect Jørn Utzon and are considered one of his more important works.[3]

Clubs
Active clubs at the school include academic decathlon, ASB, AVID, cheer leading, dance, drama, Relay For Life, and Solar Cup.[4][5]
