Elwes baronets
The Elwes Baronetcy, of Stoke in the County of Suffolk, was a title in the Baronetage of England. It was created on 22 June 1660 for Gervase Elwes, Member of Parliament for Sudbury and Suffolk. The second Baronet was Member of Parliament for Suffolk. The title became either extinct or dormant on the death of the fourth Baronet in 1787.
John Elwes was the nephew of the second Baronet.
