The EmQuartier [1], opened in May 2015, comprises the commercial The EM District in Bangkok with the Emporium, and the EmSphere. All three buildings have an total area of 2,500,000 square feet of mixed use retail space and are located on a 50-rai plot of land adjacent to Benjasiri Park.

Description

The company invested 200 million baht to hold “The World Extraordinaire” under ‘The Grand Celebration That Bangkok Has Never Experience Before’ concept. The biggest World Mapping Showcase in Asia is held in collaboration with Advanced Info Service PCL, Bangkok Bank PCL, Bangkok Airways PCL, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services PCL, Muang Thai Life Assurance PCL, and Oishi Group PCL.

The full launch of The EM District, with support from business partners, retailers and brand names in the shopping complexes, has helped boost sales. The 3D Mapping Extraordinaire is executed by Moment Factory a world class new media and entertainment studio specialized in the conception and production of multimedia environment, who has worked all over the world including at Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears’s concerts and the Super Bowl in the United States.

In addition to the 3D Mapping performance,[2] there were other special performances throughout the shopping complexes: The Grand Symphony Orchestra to put customers at ease; Quartier Avenue Feast: Elf & Musical from French; street performances at Quartier Avenue; Balloon Aerial Acrobatic from England; surprises by professional actors at Quartier Park; Magique D’Amour from Netherlands at Main Atrium, world-class romantic aerial performance; The Enchanted Quartier Water Garden at Quartier Water Garden; The Helix Rainforest Chandelier Show with Rainforest Chandelier created by world-renowned designer Patrick Blanc and aerial acrobatic performance; Magnifique Quartier Waterfall with lights a sounds over 40 metres high at The Quartier Waterfall; Magnificent Luminescent and showstopper Fireworks display grand finale.

The building designed by the architecture firm Leeser Architecture, the building features a 30' open air garden on the fifth floor, six stories of dining terraces sitting atop a helical floor slab, an eight screens cinema complex including one IMAX theater as well as a pedestrian street and five-storey waterfall, as well as two stories of underground parking.

EmQuartier features several world class brands such as Issey Miyake, Patek Phillipe, Rolex, Hublot, Judith Leiber, Pierre Herme, MCM, Emporio Armani, Chanel, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, and Valentino.[3]
