Emanuel Thomas (born August 6, 1993), professionally known as DJ Many,[1] is an American disc jockey and recording artist from Christiansted, United States Virgin Islands. He was first known as a radio personality on WSTX-FM on the island Of Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands before gaining fame around his music with his large Twitter following and personal brand.[2][3][4][5][4]
Biography
DJ Many is known for his trademarked Tiger Hat look, He is a celebrity DJ, recording artist, producer and songwriter specializing in Hip-hop, Reggae, Pop, R&B, Dubstep among other genres.
Many got his start on internet radio at the age of 13 and then he moved up to becoming an audio production intern in radio at age 15 At WYAC-FM.[6]
DJ Many continued giving the masses their daily dose of reggae and dancehall music when he teamed up with critically acclaimed artist and Grammy-winning producer Delly Ranx[7] to start a viral YouTube Dancehall riddim mix campaign.
In 2011, he got his break playing his Xbox 360 where he met multi-platinum artist Soulja Boy on Xbox Live. The popular rapper asked him to DJ for his SODMG Entertainment label. He worked with Soulja Boy on many projects and live-events before leaving the record label in the winter of 2012.
In 2012, many was contacted by Rohan Marley the son of the late great reggae legend Bob Marley to endorse the House of Marley and Marley Coffee[8] products which led to DJ Many becoming a brand ambassador for many other brands and products. In 2013, DJ Many had the largest club residency in Atlanta, GA at Wild Bills.
In 2014, Many got back into radio in the Virgin Islands for 4-month's. This time he was on the biggest station in the Virgin Islands Isle 95.1 FM WJKC with the Number One Afternoon Show in the entire Virgin Islands once again.
Later in 2014, DJ Many was flown out to Colorado by BudLight for their WhateverUSA Festival. His experience in Colorado inspired him so much that he became a professional snowboarder. After that he became a writer for The Huffington Post[9]
Many has worked in the studio with artists such as Sleepy Brown from Outkast along with working with academy award-winning Three 6 Mafia on musical collaborations.
In 2016, DJ Many Collaborated With Pop Legend Donny Osmond On Their Song "KNOW"[10]
Influence

He continued acting as a brand ambassador for other companies including Sprint.[2] Inc.com wrote, "His successes as a DJ and brand ambassador captured the notice of the CEO of Sprint, Marcelo Claure, who contacted DJ Many in 2015. At the age of 21, DJ Many became the youngest entrepreneur to land a direct vendor deal with the company. That same year, he directed, wrote, produced, and co-starred in a commercial for Sprint."[2][4][5]
DJ Many has over 1.3 million Twitter followers. He is known for his "Tiger Hat" look.[2] In 2014 he attempted to watch 12 days of The Simpsons marathon without sleeping.[11] He announced in 2014 that he would add another career to his life as a NASCAR driver.[3]
Controversy
In July 2015 NFL player Greg Hardy accused DJ Many of stealing his album,[12] DJ Many responded to the allegation on his Twitter by showing the copyrights and album lyrics rights registered in his name. DJ showed that the NFL Player owed him $40,000 that's why the album was released under DJ Many's record label. It was also later revealed that DJ Many extensively produced the album originally in anonymity.[13][14]
