The emblem of the Commonwealth of Independent States (Russian: Флаг Содружества Независимых Государств) depicts a yellow sun on a dark blue field, with eight bending poles holding the sun.
Description
The poles represent the CIS members, who signed the New Union treaty on December 21, 1991 (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan). The design (which reflects the one of the flag of the Commonwealth) symbolizes the desire for equal partnership, unity, peace and stability.
