The Emerging Sources Citation Index is a citation index produced since 2015 by Thomson Reuters. It is accessible through the Web of Science.^[1] The index includes academic journals "of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields".^[2] Among the databases produced by Thomson Reuters, the Emerging Sources Citation Index is the easiest one to get into and in a result it contains many predatory journals.^[3]
