Emilia de Poret

Emilia de Poret, born Emilia Andreen on August 10, 1976, in Luleå, Sweden, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She made her debut under the name Lia Andreen with her first single "Mistreat Me (You’ll be sorry)" from the album Back where I belong. The single was released in 2001, and reached 34th place on the Swedish single chart.[1] Her second album, A life time in a moment reached 20th place on the Swedish album chart.[2]

Emilia’s third album, Pick me up, was released in 2008 and the first single (named after the album title) reached first place on the Swedish single chart and sold triple platinum.[3]

During 2008 and 2009, Emilia climbed the charts in Australia and Spain,[4] which led to attention in media and concerts around the world.

The Richard Vission remix of the song "Pick me up" was released during spring 2010 and spent several weeks at the Billboard dance chart, with the highest ranking at 25th place.

During the autumn 2010 the single "This ain’t a love song" was initially released in Australia and Japan. The song is a cooperation between Emilia and the Japanese hip-hop star Verbal (Teriyaki Boyz, M-flo).

The track "Weightless", featuring Planet Funk, has been released in US in July 2011, under the Robbins Entertainment label.

Emilia has cooperated with a number of well established producers and songwriters, such as Arnthor Birgisson, Jörgen Elofsson, Stonebridge, RedOne and Peter Nordahl. Emilia has also worked closely with two-time Grammy awarded mixer Phil Tan. These producers are behind many of the hits of stars like Leona Lewis, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Shontelle.

In addition to music, Emilia also has a strong interest in fashion and is often recognized for her unique sense of style. This has led to a number of collaborations in the fashion world, including designing a print for Liberty of London, together with other celebrities like Edwyn Collins, Jarvis Cocker, Florence and the Machine. The print is named Liberty Rocks and will be released in Spring 2011.

Emilia is also a renowned blogger and has been working for the Swedish fashion industry on sites like Cosmopolitan and Veckorevyn. She is currently running her own blog on her official website www.emiliadeporet.com.
