Eminata Group

The Eminata Group is a for-profit provider of post-secondary education in Canada. The corporation, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, owns and manages a number of for-profit colleges and universities in Canada, including University Canada West, Vancouver Career College, and CDI College.[1] Eminata is chaired by Peter Chung, a man who ran a California computer school which failed in 1993.[2]

History

Reeves College was formed in 1961. It was incorporated in 1987 as Star Education Systems, the corporation changed its name to the Eminata Group in 2003. The company was led by President and CEO Randy Cox until November 2014.
