Enamul Hoque (Bengali: এনামুল হক); born 3 November 1968) is a Bangladeshi-born British photographer, filmmaker and artist based in London.
Early life
Born in Dhaka, East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). Born the youngest of a large emigrant family, he grew up in both the United Kingdom and Bangladesh, eventually settling in London.[1]
Career
Hoque has been a professional photographer[2] since 1989[1] and has worked on various campaigns for brands such as General Motors, Kodak, Nike, Virgin, Sony, Vauxhall, YKK,[3] PlayStation among others. His photographic work has been featured in various international magazines and exhibitions.[1]
Since 2000, Hoque has been a creator, producer and director of photography, and film projects. He is a filmmaker and a partner in Underbelly Film and has been making and producing films since 2003. He collaborates with designer Matt Moate at Underbelly Film where they design and direct moving image and motion graphics for short films, idents, title sequences, virals, promos and video installations.[3]
His short films has been exhibited and screened in museums and galleries such as American Institute of Architects, Guggenheim, ICA, Museum of Contemporary Design and Applied Arts as well as other creative institutes around the world.[3]
