Epçeli is a village the central district (Bartın) of Bartın Province, Turkey. It is situated at 41°37′N 32°26′E / 41.617°N 32.433°E in a low valley between two chain mountains running parallel to Black Sea coast. Distance to Bartın is 13 kilometres (8.1 mi). The population of Epçiler is 1230[1] as of 2010. The name of the village may be a corrupt form of the word ipçiler meaning "ropemaker"s Turkish: ipçi of the past .[2]
