Equatorial Geophysical Research Laboratory

Equatorial Geophysical Research Laboratory (EGRL) is a regional center of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism Dept of Science & Technology Govt of India Navi Mumbai. Research here is mainly focused on the upper atmospheric studies. Several advanced geophysical experimental facilities are housed in EGRL. It houses magnetometers for measuring geomagnetic fields, varieties of radars and weather stations.[1]

At present, there are thirteen staff members (scientists, technical officers, admin) and three research scholars in EGRL. Research Scholars register for their PhD in Physics in MS University, Tirunelveli.
