Eric Jurgensen
Eric Jurgensen Flores (born April 9, 1963 in La Paz, Bolivia) is the CEO, General Manager and Programming Director of America Television Channel 4 in Peru.[1]
He got a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration specializing in Marketing and Finance from the University of Arizona. However, he's been working with Television for over 20 years. Eric speaks fluently Spanish, English and German.
America TV
He was responsible for the re-launching and re-positioning of Channel 4 America TV after an insolvent period, with the participation of the new group of owners formed by Grupo Valores Bavaria, owners of Caracol Colombia and the newspapers El Comercio and La República of Peru. Jurgensen got to Peru and changed everything. Nowadays, El Comercio are the main owners of the Channel. Between June 2003 and June 2004, America Television viewer ship increased from 22% to 28% and became the number one television station in Peru. Sales increased by 32% and obtained operational utility of more than 40% in reference to the utility budgeted. Currently, Channel 4 is the number one television station in Peru. They have been leading in share and audience for more than 110 months in a row.
Telefuturo
Planned, organized, executed and managed the Commercial, Programming, Promotional, Production, Operations and Administrative Departments for Channel 4 in Paraguay. During this time publicity sales increased by 55% and viewer ship share increased from 24% in July 1999 to 42% in December 2001. Currently, Channel 4 Telefuturo is the number one television station in Paraguay.
Red Uno
In addition, he was also responsible for the re-launching of Red Uno in La Paz, Bolivia. Between January and June 2002, Red Uno's viewer ship increased by 50% and sales by 65%. A thorough restructuring of the News Department regains respect and viewership for this segment.
