Eric Leach (born April 19, 1965) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, storyteller, and guitar player. He is best known as the lead singer of Symbol Six, but is also known as the singer for Stalin(1984): with Izzy Stradlin (Guns N' Roses), the singer for Shanghai(1987): with Paul Black (L.A. Guns) - Mick Cripps(L.A. Guns) - Brent Muscat (Faster Pussycat) - Mark Michals (Faster Pussycat) - Todd Muscat(Decry) - Patrick Muzingo (Junkyard (band)) and Taz Rudd(Decry), guest appearance singer on Livingstons 2015 release 6 & 9: Mike Livingston (The Mau-Mau's) - Jeffery Dimmick (Overkill L.A.) - Johnny Witmer The Stitches) and Bill Barnes(The Authority), and his most recent first solo acoustic album, 'Perfect Life'(2016) that is characterized as "It's Brilliant Americana With a Razors Edge!!!!" by Billy Bones of The Skulls (American band). With over 80 published songs, Eric Leach is noted for his lyrical content of overcoming adversities, perseverance, good and evil, love and heartache and are described as inspiring, positive, whimsical tales, and reflective.

Music 1982-1987

In 1982, Eric's first release,'Symbol Six, on Posh Boy Records was named a top pick by Billboard Magazine "Full of sound and fury is SYMBOL SIX, a new five-man band from Southern California. They play the four songs here with punk exuberance, keeping everything simple but with high excitement quotient". Eric has shared the stage with many musicians ranging from Bad Religion, Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns, Social Distortion, Fear (band), T.S.O.L., and the Surf Punks, including the reopening of the Whisky a Go Go April 5, 1986 with Guns N' Roses.[1]

Graffiti/Hip Hop Community 1982-1987

1984-1987, Eric's was also working with Lyor Cohen and the East Coast/West Coast Hip hop music community as graffiti artist and art director creating custom logos, tour backdrop murals and video set design for Run–D.M.C. & Beastie Boys Raising Hell tour, Jermaine Jackson, MC Hammer, Ice-T at the the Los Angeles hip hop club, Radiotron, and Paula Abdul's Straight Up (Paula Abdul song) video.

Education and Invention 1988-2009

In 1988, left the world of music and attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and earned his bachelor's degree in Fine Arts.

In Feb 22, 2005 Eric Leach became a US Patent holder as the inventor of the Transporter for bases for baseball and softball games that is used to this day from College baseball Minor League Baseball and to Major League Baseball [2] Inventor of "Transporter for bases for baseball and softball games[3](THE BASE CADDY)", patent

2010 - Current

In 2010, all the original members decided to get back together the very next day they met at That British Place Rehearsal Studios in Santa Monica and started writing and playing new material. Working with engineer, Jimmy Sloan,[4] they released their self produced debut LP, "Monsters 11" on Symbol Six Music. Track 10 on the album, "Slave", features cellist Kirk Canning, who is also featured on Nirvana (band)'s album, Nevermind, "Something in the Way".[5] Donny Brooks was soon replaced by Evan Shanks (Entropy) on Bass and Mark Conway was replaced by Tony Fate (The Bellrays , the Grey Spikes) in 2011.[6] Symbol Six joined fellow alumni The Crowd for Rhino Entertainment - Warner Music Group Posh Boy Night at Rhino Records pop-up store in Los Angeles, California in June 2011 to help raise money for the charitable organization MusiCares. 2012 began generating a lot of buzz for Symbol Six. Playing with such acts as Fear, Jello Biafra, Lower Class Brats, The Adicts and many others. Symbol Six went back into studio with Phillip (Philco) Raves of Mystic Records fame to record their third album Dirtyland end of summer 2012.[7] Symbol Six appeared live in Hollywood on Nov 15th 2012 with Nick Oliveri of Dwarves (band), Mondo Generator, and Queens of the Stone Age performing Turbonegro's "Back To Dungaree High"[8] In 2011, Dr. Strange Records in Alta Loma, Ca. negotiated with Posh Boy Records and re-released original and unreleased tracks on 12" vinyl in Feb 2013. The released album also included a version of, The Weirdos, 'The Hideout', one of the band's biggest influences. Publishing a tribute video as well honoring them. Symbol Six was signed to Jailhouse Records March 1, 2013, releasing a compilation split with Fang (band), 2013, a compilation split with Rikk Agnew, 2015 and their third studio album, 'Dirtyland', in 2014.

Fall 2015, Symbol Six when on a 17 day U.S. Tour from Salt Lake City to Brooklyn, New York and points in between and were back in the studio, working again with producer Philco Raves, recording their fourth full length album, 'Side Four', due to be released in the summer of 2016 on Jailhouse Records and now in pre-production on their 5th album.
