Eric Siu

Eric Siu (born 1982, Hong Kong) is a multimedia artist who works in the fields of installation, performance, creative technology and design. Within the sphere of new media art, Eric Siu creates situations for participation and viewer interaction.[1] He has presented his work internationally and first exhibited at Microwave International New Media Arts Festival in Hong Kong in 2003.

Notable works

Touchy has been presented in many countries around the world, in which Eric performs as The Human Camera. Wearing a headset which has shutters over his eyes, Touchy can only see when he is physically touched by a human. Holding for 10 seconds and looking into Touchy's eyes will result in a digital photograph being taken which is displayed on the back of his headset.[2] The work won first prize at the WRO International Media Art Biennale in Poland in 2013.
