Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Erich Borchardt (7 June 1913 – 9 April 1944) was a highly decorated Oberfeldwebel in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Erich Borchardt died on 9 April 1944 in Krasnoperekopsk, Ukraine.
