Ernie Adams (June 18, 1885 – November 26, 1947), born in San Francisco, California as Ernest Stephen Dumarais and also known as Ernest S. Adams to Leon D. Adams and Laurence G. Girard was an American vaudeville, theatre and film actor and writer, who started his career in musical comedy on Broadway. Along with his wife Berdonna Gilbert, started his career in entertainment as vaudeville team "Gilbert and Adams". He appeared in more than 400 films starting from the silent era between 1919 and 1948, and was particulary known for playing shady characters, he died in Hollywood, California, aged 62.
