Ernie Farrow

"Ernie" Farrow (November 13, 1928 in Huntington, West Virginia – July 14, 1969) was a jazz multi-instrumentalist who played piano, bass, and drums. He was perhaps best known as a bassist. He is also the half-brother of Alice Coltrane and is said to have introduced her to jazz.[1]

Farrow started with piano before adding bass and drums. He went on to work with Stan Getz, Yusef Lateef, and Red Garland among others.
