Ernest 'Ernie' Wright (born 1912) is an English-born footballer who played as an inside forward in the 1930s.[1]
After brief spells in the Football League with Queens Park Rangers and Crewe Alexandra Wright moved to Chesterfield,[1] and made his debut for them in Division Two on 18 April 1938 against Bradford Park Avenue,[2] although this was to be his only appearance for the club.[1]
Wright then moved to Oldham Athletic and had greater success there, making almost 40 league appearances up to World War II.
