Escarcha was one of the most important groups in Colombia in 2002, and was born out of Popstars. Escarcha disbanded in 2004.

Their first album, the self-titled Escarcha, sold 20,000 copies on its first day and more than 70,000 copies on the next three following weeks after the album was released. They also had a supporting tour for their first album. The group released a second album but charted not as well as the first album nor had the promotion of its predecessor. The group ended up dissolving, although band members Natalia Bedoya and Isa Katherine Mosquera sought after careers on TV[1] and radio[2] respectively, earning moderate success.
