Essie Sakhai (born in the city of Tehran in Iran and educated in Great Britain) is a rug dealer and expert [1][2] on the ancient Iranian art form of the Persian Carpet and Oriental rugs. Born to a family with a long history of dealing in Persian Carpets, he gained much of his knowledge from his father Benayahoo Sakhai.[2]

Essie spends most of his time at his Gallery in London’s Mayfair, carrying on the family tradition started in 1766.[2][3]

Essie advises museums,[1][2] and private collectors. [1][2]
