Europos (Macedonia)

Europos (Ancient Greek: Εὐρωπός) was the name of a number of cities in ancient Macedonia, in the regions of Bottiaea, Almopia, Axius and lower Paionia. The exact position and the number of cities is debated. Europos was the birthplace of Seleucus I Nikator, and two cities in Seleucid Empire were named Europos. There is also reported a Delphic proxenos Machatas from Europos in the late 4th century BC.
