Evan Sharp
Evan Sharp (born 1982)[1] is an American Internet entrepreneur who co-founded and is Chief Creative Officer of Pinterest.[2]
Life and career
Sharp was raised in York, Pennsylvania. He studied[3] architecture at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Prior to that, he received a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Chicago. He married[4] Christina McBride in 2014. The couple met while attending college together.
In 2009[5] Sharp met [6] Ben Silbermann (who would become Pinterest’s CEO) in New York through a mutual friend. He soon thereafter moved[7] to California, where he worked as a product designer at Facebook before joining Silbermann and Paul Sciarra to focus on Pinterest full-time. Sharp is credited[8] with designing and coding Pinterest and the Pinterest grid for the initial product launch in March 2010, and continues to oversee all design efforts at the San Francisco-based company.
