Evangelina Vigil-Piñón

Evangelina Vigil-Piñón (born 29 November 1949 San Antonio, Texas) is a Mexican-American poet, translator, and television personality.

Life

She studied at Prairie View A&M University. She graduated from University of Houston. [1] She studied at St. Mary's University, and University of Texas at San Antonio. She was assistant editor of Americas Review.[1] She teaches at University of Houston.[2]

She is the host and producer of Community Close Up: Viva Houston, which airs Sundays on ABC-KTRK-TV, Houston, Texas.[3]

She married Mark Anthony Piñón[4] in 1983; they had a son, Marc-Antony Piñón,[5] in 1984.[6]
