Eve Weston is an American comedy and TV writer based in Los Angeles.
Career
Weston earned a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University in 2001 and an MFA in Screenwriting from USC in 2005.[1][2] At Princeton, she was a trustee committee member of U-Store.[3] Weston also studied improv comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and I.O. West. Prior to her career as a writer, she worked as an investment banking analyst for Goldman Sachs.[2]
Since 2007, Weston has worked in television. Weston contributed to Better Off Ted, The Megan Mullally Show, Will & Grace, and Yes, Dear. She has also written episodes for ABC's Better With You and Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place.[4][5] She has taught a course in TV script writing.[4]
On the Wizards of Waverly Place, Weston wrote the song "Funky Hat Dance," which was widely shared outside the show.[2][4]
In 2015, Weston won Best Entertainment Commentary in the 57th annual Southern California Journalism Awards for her L.A. Weekly post, "Does Into The Woods Punish a Wife for Adultery and Not a Husband?". [6] [7]
Personal life
On February 16, 2014, Weston married journalist and writer Zachary Pincus-Roth in San Diego, California.[1]
Weston has two siblings and comes from a family of swimmers.[8] She is Jewish and has penned a Hanukkah song.[9]
