Martha Hoagland (Jordan Ladd) is a 16-year-old girl suffering through her parents' (Cheryl Ladd, Robert Wisden) recent divorce, her mother working long hours and being recently dumped by her boyfriend. Feeling lonely and seeking solace, she turns to an online chat room. Martha believes she is chatting with a boy around her age, when in reality she is chatting with an internet predator involved in a cyber-kidnapping ring (Ted McGinley).
