"Every Woman Wants To" is pop vocalist Jermaine Stewart's only single of 1990. It is his second and final single from his fourth album What Becomes a Legend Most.
Since 1988, there had been a decline in Stewart's popularity, with the 1988 single "Don't Talk Dirty to Me" only reaching #61 in the UK, and Stewart's following single, "Tren de Amor" managed to just peak at #97.[1]
"Every Woman Wants To" peaked at #95 in the UK, staying on the chart for a total of one week.[1] This would be Stewart's last chart appearance in the United Kingdom with an original release however his best selling hit "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" re-charted in the UK in 2011, peaking at #29.[1]
A promotional video was created for the single but no TV performances exist.[2]
"Every Woman Wants To" was written by Scher and Dorothy Sea Gazeley.[3] The b-side for the single "Holes in My Jeans" was used as the album closer on "What Becomes a Legend Most", written by Stewart and Scher.[3]
The remix "Every Woman Wants To (New-New Mix)" was created by Bryan "Chuck" New. New is an American producer, engineer, mixer, songwriter and composer who has written and composed over 400 titles himself.[4]
