Evolven is a technology company that provides IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) solutions for enterprise businesses. Founded in 2007,[1] Evolven is headquartered in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA,[2] with offices in Europe and Israel. Evolven sells enterprise software that apply the IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) approach, offering "change centric, blended analytics." This means that once the system has learned from examining the systems, their operational logs and the current state, it's then possible to apply machine learning/analytics to evaluate changes made to the environment.[3]

History

Evolven was founded in 2007 by Mercury Interactive (acquired by HP in 2007[4]) veteran, Alexander (Sasha) Gilenson,[5] and is majority owned by Pitango Venture Capital[6] and Index Ventures. On May 13, 2013, Evolven announced integration with ServiceNow products.[7] In September 2014, Evolven received integration certification from ServiceNow.[8] In July 2015, Evolven Software announced their latest IT Operations Analytics (ITOA) software release, dubbed Evolven Blended Analytics.[9]

Technology

Evolven applies the principles of IT Operations Analytics to their Blended Analytics solution, correlating symptoms, IT Context data with changes - the true root cause of performance and availability incidents. Evolven's Analytics Engine also performs data cleansing, correlation to prepare high volumes of diverse, cross silo data for analysis.[10] Gartner reported that "The volume and variety of data required to monitor and manage complex IT systems has grown exponentially, which increases the need for new technologies to ingest, store and analyze the data."[11] The Evolven system extends IT Operations visibility and addresses the central questions facing IT operations management about the true root cause of a problem. This allows IT staff to gain insights needed to prevent and troubleshoot flaws.[12]
