Ewa Kupiec (born 2 November 1964) is a classical pianist. The BBC states that she is "acclaimed for playing that 'is brilliant but never obtrusive, full of atmosphere and subtly virtuosic'".[1]

Biography

Born in Duszniki-Zdrój, Kupiec studied music in Katowice, at Warsaw's Chopin Academy, and at the Royal Academy of Music, London.[2] In 1992, she won the ARD Music Competition for Duo Piano:Cello.[3] Since 2011, she has been professor for piano at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover in Hanover, Germany.[4]

Kupiec has performed around the globe, not only at the most important music festivals but also with several national orchestras. Since 2003, she has enjoyed a special relationship with the conductor Stanisław Skrowaczewski, specializing in Chopin's piano concertos.[5]
