Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) (Persian: بانک توسعه صادرات ايران) is Iran's Export-Import Bank. The Bank is wholly owned by the Iranian government, which provides lines of financing and other banking services to Iranian exporters and investors, with offices spread across all provinces in Iran, and permanent representations in regional and international foreign markets.
History
Export Development Bank of Iran (EDBI) was established on July 10, 1991, and subsequently initiated its activities in September 1992. EDBI acts as Iran's Ex-Im bank and plays a pivotal role in providing financing facilities and banking services to Iranian exporters and the buyers of the goods and services of Iranian origin.
