Anatomical terminology

Extensor digitorum brevis manus is an extra or accessory muscle on the backside of the hand. The muscles lies in the fourth extensor compartment and is relatively rare.[1] EDBM is commonly misdiagnosed as a ganglion cysta, synovial nodule or cyst, or a soft-tissue tumor.[2]
