International Federation of Philosophical Societies

The International Federation of Philosophical Societies (French: Fédération Internationale des Sociétés de Philosophie, FISP) is an International Federation of Philosophical Societies, whose member-societies arguably include every country where there is significant academic philosophy. It was established in 1948.[1]

The President is William McBride (Department of Philosophy, Purdue University).[2] The society sponsors the International Philosophy Olympiad and the World Congress of Philosophy which is held every 5 years.[3]
