Fürst Fugger Privatbank Aktiengesellschaft is a German smaller regional bank in Augsburg, founded in 1954 and mainly serving the Swabia region of Bavaria, with 159 employees. It has no relation to the historical Fugger banking house that ceased to exist in the 17th century. Fürst Fugger Privatbank was founded when a man named Carl Friedrich Fugger-Babenhausen acquired the small bank Friedl & Dumler GmbH in 1954, and the bank received its current name only in 1994.[1] Since 1999, Fürst Fugger Privatbank is mainly owned by the Nürnberger Versicherungsgruppe insurance company.
