FC Kuban-2 Krasnodar

FC Kuban-2 Krasnodar (Russian: ФК «Кубань-2» Краснодар) was a proposed Russian football team from Krasnodar.

It was registered to play in the Russian Professional Football League (third level) for the 2015-16 season. It was to be a farm club for the Russian Premier League team FC Kuban Krasnodar. It was supposed to be created on the basis of FC Torpedo Armavir, which won the Russian Professional Football League in 2014-15 season and qualified for promotion to the Russian Football National League, but did not have necessary financial standing for the second-tier competition at the time. However, as the season drew closer to the opening, Torpedo Armavir gained necessary financing and was licensed for FNL. Kuban-2 was initially independently licensed and registered for the Zone South of the PFL, but then was excluded from the list of participants before the season started.[1]

Kuban's reserve team played professionally previously as FC Kuban-d Krasnodar in the Russian Third League 1996 and Russian Third League 1997.
