FC Obolon-2 Kyiv was a Ukrainian professional team. The team completed as the second or reserve team for FC Obolon Kyiv but left the professional ranks early in 2013.

Club History

Originally, the second team of the FC Obolon Kyiv participated in the Second League. When the senior team was promoted to Persha Liha in 2001 the club entered its reserve team Obolon-2 into Druha Liha the following season. During the winter break of the Ukrainian Second League 2008-09 season the team was withdrawn due to the club's fiscal crisis.[1]

The team has reformed as Obolon Kyiv Reserves and competed in the Ukrainian Premier Reserve League since their senior team is a member of the Ukrainian Premier League. When the senior team was relegated from the Premier League after the 2010–11 Ukrainian Premier League season the club reentered their reserve club into the Second League.

The senior club withdrew from the PFL during the attestion meeting held in the winter breakwhen the club's administration informed the PFL that they lacked sufficient funds to continue participating in the league.[2]
