The Faculty of Applied Sciences is one of the nine academic faculties of the University of Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka.[1] The faculty was established in April 1997 and is part of the university's Vavuniya Campus. It has two departments and its current dean is S. Kuhanesan.[2] As at 31 December 2011 the faculty had 333 undergraduate students and 26 academic staff (20 permanent, 6 temporary).[3][4]

History

The Faculty of Applied Sciences was established when the Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna was created in April 1997.[5]

Courses

The faculty offers undergraduate courses which lead to Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology and Bachelor of Science degrees.[6]
