Fadi Azzam
Fadi Azzam (born 1973) is a Syrian novelist. He was born in Sweida in southern Syria, and went to university in Damascus. He has published often in Arabic newspapers and magazines, and he reported on arts and culture for Al Quds al-Arabi from 2007 to 2009. He has also worked with visual media, such as documentaries and cartoons.
Having previously written a book called Things Underneath (2010), he was nominated for the Arabic Booker Prize for his debut novel Sarmada. It was translated into English by Adam Talib.[1]
