Fafnir – Nordic Journal of Science Fiction and Fantasy Research is a peer reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal published by the Finnish Society of Science Fiction and Fantasy Researchers (Suomen science fiction- ja fantasiatutkimuksen seura ry.).[1]

The journal is published in electronic format. The main language of the journal is English. Fafnir’s content ranges from peer-reviewed research articles to short overviews, essays, interviews, opinion pieces and academic book reviews.[2] The journal is transmedial [3] and interdisciplinary.[4]

The advisory board includes science fiction and fantasy researchers from the universities of Helsinki, Gothenburg, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere, Tilburg, Turku, and Uppsala.[5]
