Falgun Rathod born 18 December 1990 is an known Cyber Security Speaker, Ethical Hacker, Social Engineer and Entrepreneur from India. Rathod has also written a book on Indian Cyber Crime and Law in India.[1] He owns a Membership in many Open Source Security Communities. He spoke at India's Oldest and biggest cyber security conference Clubhack in 2012. He is engaged with various security research mainly includes Social Engineering, Smart Grid Security and Cyber Surveillance.

Early life

Falgun Rathod born in Ahmedabad completed his schooling from St Joseph High School, At School time he was engaged with Sport Activities. He is a Gold Medalist in National Level Thang Tha Championship organised by ThangTa Federation of India in 2005, Gold Medal in District Level Wushu Championship by Gujarat Wushu Association in 2006. His interest for Computers started in the year of 2008 when his father bought him first computer.

Professional Life

Falgun Rathod is a regular speaker and guest lecturer to many colleges and universities in India some of them are IGNOU, Satyabhama University, Parul University, Raksha Shakti University,[2] Institute of Forensics Science Mumbai and much more. He is known for his Hack into Asia's Largest and Secured E Governance Website i.e. Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.[3] he further showed his research in Social Engineering and Smart Grid Security and spoke at many Conference like ClubHack[4] and Hatcon. He helps Gujarat Police, Mumbai Police, Jammu Police for solving cyber crime cases and open source intelligence. His company Cyber Octet providing Training on ethical hacking and cyber security as well services of vulnerability assessment.

Achievements

He is acknowledged as Distinguished learner by IGNOU.[5] His Company Cyber Octet awarded as India's top 25 promising cyber security companies of India.[6] He is a Founder and Mentor at India's First Bugbounty Program BugsXploration. He is the first Indian to be featured on cover page of security magazine PENTEST.[7] He hold various International Certifications such as USCERT and UNDSS and acknowledge by Indian Government. He is listed in top ten cyber cops of India by India Today[8] and one of the top ten ethical hackers of India by Silicon India Magazine.[9]

Claims

Falgun Rathod has detected and been involved in monitoring various terrorist activities happening on Internet and Social Networking websites like Facebook and Twitter. He claimed to be the first to information on Aazam Khan alias Abu Jundal who was main handler of Mumbai 26/11 Attacks to the law enforcement agencies.[10]
