"Falling for U" is a single by Brazilian pop singer Wanessa, from her EP Você não Perde por Esperar. The song is a dance/house track, featuring Brazilian DJ Mr. Jam and it was released as a single on June 29, 2010.[1] Later, it was included in Wanessa's full-length English album DNA.

Background

The song leaked on the Internet in June and shows Wanessa singing the song entirely in English and with a focused style dance music and house music.[2] Her production disponibilized the official version on June 1. The music produced by Mr. DJ Jam, you may be in the singer's next CD and is already a hit on the internet. "Falling For U" is the first of many innovations that Wanessa is preparing for her fans," said Roberto, Wanessa's accessor, on Twitter. Because of the music, the name of Wanessa ended up in the trending topics of Twitter in the afternoon the same day. In total, this is the second single from Wanessa to be sung entirely in English.[3]

Reception

The editors of the site musical website Vírgula, from UOL said: "Wanessa shows aptitude in electronic music and seems to have fitted well with the proposal of the song".[4] The blog "Star and Star" liked the song and said "Wanessa shows its power in English and takes literally the person more than once heard the song."[5] FamaOsfera said: "The singer once took her pop side, and this time instead of diving into electronic music".[6]

Chart performance

In the first week in the Hot 100 Singles from the parade of Hot 100 Brasil, the song debuted at #78. In the second week, gave a big move and went to #35. Its highest peak was #23 and the third single from Wanessa to lose the Top 20, since "Filme de Amor" in 2003.
