False Advertising are a three-piece alternative rock group from Manchester and Oxford, England.
Biography
False Advertising was formed by Jen Hingley, Josh Sellers and Chris Warr in 2013.[1] In April 2016 they were named winners of PRS’s Flash Funding award for live performance,[2] they are also releasing forthcoming 7” single Give It Your Worst / Scars on Too Pure Singles Club.[3] The band have received coverage by Total Guitar,[4] The Skinny,[5] This Is Fake DIY[6] and Punktastic.[7] As well as airplay on BBC 6 Music[8] and BBC Introducing.[9]
Jen Hingley's uncle is Tom Hingley, who was the singer of The Inspiral Carpets during the height of their fame.
