American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist
The American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist has been awarded since 1974.
Years reflect the year in which the American Music Awards were presented, for works released in the previous year (until 2003 onward when awards were handed out on November of the same year).
There is a four-way tie for most wins in this category. Eric Clapton, Michael Bolton, Michael Jackson and Barry Manilow each have three wins. Also, Michael Jackson is the only singer to have won this award in three separate decades (1984, 1996, and 2009).
