The FBI Academy is located in Quantico, Virginia. It was first opened for use in 1972[2] on 385 acres (1.6 km²) of woodland,[3] which is not available for public tours. It is a relatively small government academy, housing only three dormitory buildings, along with associative facilities.[3] It holds 250 trainees for ten week courses four times a year.
The academy occupies 547 acres within Marine Corps Base Quantico.[4]
It includes the mock town Hogan's Alley.[5][3]
