Santiago Federico Valverde Dipetta (born 22 July 1998 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Uruguayan club Peñarol as a Midfielder on loan from Spanish club Real Madrid .[1]

Club career

Valverde spent most of his youth career with Peñarol, where he quickly made an impression. He became part of Uruguayan's youth teams and attracted the interest of clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid.[2][3][4] In May 2015 he transferred from Peñarol to Real Madrid.[5] Immediately he returned to Peñarol, on loan for one year.[6]

He made his debut for Peñarol in first fixture of 2015–16 Uruguayan Primera División season against Cerro.[7]
