Felimida neona, also known as the "Neon Sea Goddess",[4] is a species of colorful sea slug, a dorid nudibranch; it is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Chromodorididae.[2][5] It was described by Ernst Marcus in Brazil in 1955.[1]
Description
This gastropod exhibits a reticulated pattern of yellow lines edged with red hovering over a pale gray-blue background.[4] It is sometimes confused with Chromodoris clenchi or Chromodoris binza but can be distinguished by the presence of white rhinophores and blue-tipped brachial leaves.[4] The maximum recorded length is 30 mm.[6]
Distribution
This species occurs in the Caribbean Sea, notably in Florida and Panama, and also in Brazil.[4][1]
Habitat
Minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[6] Maximum recorded depth is 10 m.[6]
