Ferdia Walsh-Peelo (born 2000[1]) is an Irish singer, musician and actor.[2] He is best known for playing the lead character Cosmo in the film Sing Street.

Career

Born in Ashford, County Wicklow, by the age of twelve he had appeared on Irish television and performed at The Wexford Opera House. In 2016, Walsh-Peelo made his acting debut in the musical comedy-drama film Sing Street along with Lucy Boynton.[3] The film was directed by John Carney.[4]

He sings and plays guitar, performing live with Sing Street co-star Mark McKenna after the film's showing at the Sundance Festival.[5]

He was signed by William Morris Endeavor in 2016.[6]
