Fernão Álvares da Maia (1400s-1449) was a Portuguese nobleman, Lord of Pena, Aguiar.[1] and Trofa.[2]
Biography
Fernão was born in Lisboa, the son of Álvaro Gonçalves da Maia. His wife was Guiomar de Sá (daughter of Gonçalo de Sá, Lord of Aguiar).[3] Supporter of the cause of Peter, went towards Lisboa, where participated in the Battle of Alfarrobeira.[4] Maia died in combat on 20 May 1449.[5]
