Final Embrace

Final Embrace is a historical photograph of the tragedy of the collapse of the eight storey Rana Plaza building in Savar Upazila, Bangladesh.[1] The photograph, taken by freelance photographer Taslima Aktar, was awarded third prize in the World Press Photo third prize (single) in the 'spot news category'.[2][3][4][5]

It was also selected among the 10 best pictures of TIME magazine in 2013.
